EMPTY LINE-UPS:
The last few days have really produced some nice sessions out here in the Telo Islands. We have mainly been surfing Max’s Left and Kindies, but I think the Left is where most people have enjoyed their best days; I even heard a “Best day ever!” claim get dropped the other day, which is always good to hear.
We’ve had a steady 2-3 foot swell stick around for the last 3-4 days now, which wasn’t really showing on the forecast and with no charter boats in sight we have managed to score empty line-ups at almost every session. A decreasing swell from today is forecasted, and the next pulse is supposed to arrive on Friday. However, if this week is anything to go by, who knows what will happen? Light variable winds are again predicted which is great to hear as it can give plenty of opportunity to surf multiple waves in the area.
Our first trip has almost come to completion, and it was indeed a memorable one, the only downer I can think of, was the fact that we couldn’t land a fish! With one more day left, I think a sunset troll with Bintangs in hand could be on the cards this evening, and a few fish in the boat would only top off what has been a really enjoyable trip and great way to kick off the year.
