Surf Uruna Bay Retreat
If you’re dreaming of a surfing adventure, look no further than Urana Bay Retreat. Surfers can look forward to a diverse range of waves from 2 to 6 ft, that cater to beginner to more experienced surfers, longboarders and shortboarders. The smaller breaks are ideal for longboards and fish, while the more challenging and hollow surf breaks provide the ultimate challenge for shortboarders.
Baritaka (Shark Alley)
Approximately 15 minutes by dinghy from Uruna Retreat, Baritaka is a left and right-hander that breaks into a deep water passage.
Tunani Island
You’ll find this left and right-hander 25 minutes from the retreat. A fun wave that breaks over reef into deep water.
Moeo Passage (Kieta Passage)
Right in front of Urana Bay, Moeo Passage is a left and right-hander that breaks into the main passage where the ships enter and exit into Kieta Harbour.
Orovo Island
A small wave that is ideal for beginners and is fun on a longboard. It’s located about 15 minutes away by dinghy.
Takanupe Island
A local favourite, Takanupe Island is an incredible left-hander where you’re sure to score some epic barrels in the right conditions. It breaks over a shallow reef and handles small to big swells. It’s located about 30 minutes away from the retreat by dinghy.
Kurikiki Island
A fun left and right-hander that breaks into deep water and is located approximately 30 minutes from Urana Bay Retreat by dinghy.
Non-Surf Activities
