The West Coast of Bali needs no introduction.
Since the early 70’s the popularity of Bali has grown and grown. Unfortunately crowds go hand in hand with surfing in Bali these days but there are still some hidden gems and secrets we know that can get you a decent wave without the crowd.
World Surfaris Bali has been operating surf tours around Bali for the past decade and our local guides are not only experienced and knowledgeable about every region of Bali, they also receive a lot of respect in the lineup among their peers. This translates to more waves for you and your buddies.
Take a day tour with anyone of our guides and we guarantee you will get back to your villa surfed out and ready to lounge around your pool at Legong Keraton.

As far as waves go around Canggu, here is a list and short description:
- Berawa Beach (out the front): Super fun beachie better on low to mid tide. Still breaks on high tide but fattens out and becomes a bit of a treacherous shorebreak.
- Old Mans (5 mins away): As the name suggests, is suitable for longboarders, bit of a fatter wave and often full of beginners.
- Echo Beach (10-15 mins): 3 distinct waves within Echo Beach. A left point break with rock bottom. Can be a sketchy take off but 3-4 turns before you need to get outta there. The peak which sits in the middle of Echo Bay, excellent barreling wave but only a short ride. The rivermouth…An extremely fun and rippable right hander that can get crowded with locals and tourists.
- Stairs (25 mins away): Another sik spot with sand/rock bottom, better on low or mid tides.
