Kandui Villas consists of nine unique eco-friendly premium villas and one triple uma. Each uma is 7.5 metres wide and 10.5 metres long, configured with two king-sized beds downstairs and a spacious second-storey loft with a king-sized bed or two single beds. The flexible sleeping options of the umas make them ideal for solo travellers, couples, groups and families.
Escape the Mentawai heat inside the air-conditioned umas, and enjoy hot and cold showers, hi-speed WiFi, mosquito nets and a mini refrigerator to keep your drinks cool.

Surf Kandui Villas
Kandui Villas is a dream destination for surfers of all abilities. Nowhere else in the world offers the same diversity of waves as this region of the Mentawai Islands. Surfing the Mentawai Islands is on the bucket list for most surfers, thanks to its consistency and variety of surf breaks.
The Playgrounds area is one of the most beautiful regions to surf, offering pumping waves with a backdrop of palm tree-lined white sandy beaches. Whether you’re a beginner or an intermediate surfer, you’ll find somewhere to surf in all wind and swell conditions.
Kandui Left and Baby Kandui are directly out the front of Kandui Villas, with two dozen other waves within a five to 30-minute fast boat trip away. Thanks to a nice fleet of boats, including two five-metre plastic dinghies, a 4.5 metre fibreglass dinghy, one 5.2 metre Kahajaya centre-console speed boat and three, 45-50 ft longboats, it’s easy to access surf breaks outside of Playgrounds such as Hideaways, Nipussi, Burgerworld, Rifles and E-Bay. The boats are always stocked with drinking water, snacks and drinks to ensure you have a comfortable trip.

Kandui Left
Kandui Left isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s one of the heaviest waves in Indonesia, fast, hollow and shallow. Intermediate surfers can expect a sketchy drop-in and fast, freight train ride to the end of the reef where it closes out.
Baby Kandui
As the name suggests, this wave isn’t as challenging as its older brother, Kandui Left, however, Baby Kandui still offers a long left-hand tube ride with three to four barrel sections. When it’s smaller, it’s a fun wave to practise your turns.
Playgrounds Area
With more than 26 named waves in close proximity, this extraordinary area of the Mentawai Islands is definitely a surfer’s paradise and you’ll have so many waves to choose from. Surf breaks in this area include Rifles, Kandui, Hideaways, Beng-Beng, E-bay, Pitstop and more.
Rifles
Rifles is one of the longest and most perfect right-handers in the world. Some surfers have been known to get six barrels in one wave! A stunning 400-metre ride, Rifles is best surfed during mid to high tide, with big southerly swells and northerly winds.

Fishing
