JEREMY FLORES “Perfect waves, uncrowded spots. The Left is one of the longest waves I ever surfed; it’s a typical reef break with two sections, one for manoeuvres and the others for tubes. Water is warm and local people are friendly. I will come back as soon as possible. For me, it’s a perfect trip cause it’s only 2.5 hours from Australia”.
ADRIANO DE SOUZA “This place is wonderful, it’s my best surf trip, I love it !”
SHOTA NAKUMURA “Long waves” One of the best Japanese junior surfers got perfect sessions in New Caledonia and particularly at Ouano. “Good tubes, long waves, nobody out. It’s not a heavy spot and everybody could go out there.” He promised to be back soon.
TOM INNES “Good vibrations” Tom Innes is known for charging big waves in Western Australia. In New Caledonia, he didn’t quite strike them but he loved the breaks. “I got good vibes out there, excellent turns on the right, and long rides on the left.”
BRIAN TOTH “An easy wave” The young Puerto Rican was the only goofy foot at Ouano’s left and he got some of the best barrels of the trip in late march. “The wave is easy, take off, bottom, manoeuvres, then barrel…”
STEPHAN KOEHNE “Like my home break” The Hawaiian boy was easy at Ouano. His ability to charge reef break was the passport to the barrel. “It’s like my home break in Kauai , powerful waves, crystal water, lots of fish… people are so nice too… Good place to stay.”
