Best trip I have ever done
Everyone got on very well, the vibes were always good. For me it was important to have to have a space to roll out a yoga mat to warm up before every day of surf (I have no choice due to osteoarthritis). Well obviously the Manta has more than enough area for that and out of everyone’s way. Lucky and the crew were kind enough to help me out when I told them that I am normally vegetarian when I am home but can eat fish, I didn’t want to make a fuss but they went out of the way help me. Only thing at the end of the trip I was not able to make complete bar and tip payment in US Dollars due to some of the notes not crisp and new (the banks apparently won’t accept even slightly worn notes in Male). I think it would be good to warn everyone about that. Alli the surf guide was friendly and had a lot of patience at times when mother nature wasn’t always on our side and everyone of course wants to know where the waves will be. Surfing is not just riding waves (still we had cracking waves, even too big for one or two of us at the beginning) it’s everything else that goes with it. Thank you for looking after us Josh (at World Surfaris).
