Escape to a Remote Surfing Paradise
World Surfaris now offers fly-in/fly-out surf charters all season to the Maldives’ Outer Atolls. From February through to November, come explore this beautiful and remote surfing paradise and discover Maldivian surfing at its best.
The Outer Atolls are among the most secluded and pristine atolls in the Maldives, resulting in fewer surf charters and surf resorts. This idyllic surf destination encapsulates the raw beauty of the Maldives, while offering up some of the most incredible (and often empty) waves in the region.
Remember, numbers are limited, so book fast to secure your next surf trip to the Outer Atolls!
Maldives
– Outer Atolls
The Huvadhoo and Addu Atolls, referred to as the Outer Atolls, are located in the most southern area of the Maldives. This remote, south-facing coastline is hit with clean southerly swells all year round. While wave size is generally smaller than the more northerly atolls, here you’ll have an opportunity to stumble upon Maldivian surf perfection.
The best known waves in the Outer Atolls are Beacons, Castaways and Tiger Stripes. Beacons and Tiger Stripes are well-known as two of the most powerful waves in the Maldives, fast and barrelling above shallow reef.
For the best conditions, early (March to May) and late (September to November) seasons are the best times to book a surf charter to the Outer Atolls, with empty waves and more consistent swell.
