Surf

This region of PNG is still a surfing frontier, with all new breaks still being discovered all the time. Your surf guide, and Danielle's partner, Nikki Wynnychuk, has discovered many of these breaks herself and knows the area better than anyone. Surf tourism is welcomed greatly by the local villages, bringing health, well-being and stability to the region.

Tupira Right: Directly out the front of the Tupira Surf Club are some of the most consistent waves you will find anywhere, acting like a North swell magnet. Suaru left and right - Not far from Tupira, this amazing break has an active volcano serving as your backdrop. Rurunut -  A short, punchy left-hander and Tawulte -  An unreal sand-bottomed left-hander that on the right day can break for 300- 400 metres.

What is Takara Yoga

Combining the ancient forms of Ryoho and Oki-do Yoga disciplines, Takara Yoga was created to emphasize rejuvenation and longevity. This means you also get the most out of your surfing, going longer and surfing better.

Created in Japan, this yoga system was designed for anyone to be able to do and is perfect for you so long as you are happy to give it a go and learn while having a good laugh.

Your Takara Yoga instructor, Dannielle Mun, will work closely with you and your fellow adventurers (Max 12) for the duration of your retreat. Calming yoga sessions and uncrowded breaks with world-class waves make this retreat an ideal trip to paradise, surrounded by smiling locals.

Accommodation

The accommodation at Tupira Surf Club is a comfortable guesthouse, located right on the beach in front of the local right-hand point break. Capable of sleeping 12 guests, the guest house consists of 6 twin share rooms. Alternatively, there is also a 2 bedroom bungalow available, which can be booked by a small group, family, or two couples. The guesthouse has high ceilings, to catch the ocean breezes, keeping it cool throughout the evening. Completely powered by generators, the facility has running water pumped down from local springs, and 2 septic toilets.

Meals

All meals are prepared using produce from the local township of Madang.  The Ladies from the local village provide the majority of the meals throughout the day and is absolutely delicious. The cuisine will keep your energy levels high and stomach happy. it includes a huge range of recipes full of fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, and chicken all cooked in the traditional local PNG Mu-Mu style (Hot Rock Cooking).
