Another season has arrived and what a great start!
We again welcomed the lovely ladies from Billabong who are always great fun. Alessa Quizon once visited Lohis in peak season only to arrive during one of the worst storms I can remember during my 12 year stint in the Maldives. It was a case of second time lucky for Alessa who not only had a great week surfing super fun Lohis but she managed to top it off with a win at the QS6,000 Sydney Pro the following weekend. She was joined by the super stylish longboard queen, Josie Prendergast who we always love to host and a host of other Billabong team members who are an absolute pleasure.
Also joining us at Lohis early in the season was Scott Courtland from AABLE Training to run our surf guides through an extensive 3.5 day training course covering everything from water safety, CPR, Defib use and surf rescue scenario’s. Safety is taken very seriously by the team at Lohis and thanks to World Surfaris for making sure the annual training takes place. A good surf holiday is a safe surf holiday!
April is shaping up to be another cracker. Year after year, the elements align and we have memorable conditions. 3-4ft is on the menu most days and even if the ocean takes a short break, the water clarity is often amazing, the sun is shining and our guests are stoked!
Until next time… Rich & the Lohis team.
