May started off well with a good sized swell from the 5th – 8th. Rifles was on fire and everyone was getting some sik ones! A lot of surf porn that day, guests didnt know if it was better surfing or watching from the boat.
By the 12th May our second group of the month arrived with massive files on their faces as another fun sized swell approached the Indian Ocean producing what can only be described as picture perfect. 4-5ft waves with super light winds. Looks like more of the same for the rest of May and into June (fingers crossed).
The end of May has been a little odd with swirling winds running the past couple of days, making it a little tricky to pick the right spot. We took a gamble that paid off one day by heading to No Kandui on the cross-offshore and after 45mins the wind died down and swung offshore. We also surfed a variety of waves during the final week of May, notching up a total of 11 breaks. Pictured here are 7 of the best! where in the world can you go and get consistency of perfect waves like this in the span of a 20 min boat ride??
