Mentawai Surf Charters: What is ‘LEFT’ after the storm?

"After the epic XXL Swell last month, July has gone quiet for while around the Islands in terms of big waves, but still a month packed of action all over the Mentawais. Quality waves breaking consistently, plenty of fishing and top deck BBQ's kept everyone entertained during the holiday month.

South Easterly winds were predominant over July, blessing all the lefty’s lovers on board. Ideal for these conditions, Thunders, Maccas and Hideways produced some of the highlights, breaking consistently thru the month. “During the peak season we are always looking for secrets to skip the crowds, but the guests always have their best surf on waves like Thunders, Maccas and Lances. Those waves are like swell magneto, working like a machine all day long, and no matter how big the crowd, everyone will find plenty waves.” says Bruno Veiga who works in the area since 2007.

Topped with plenty of top-deck BBQ's and loads of fishing action, the holiday season on board Moon Palikir and Star Koat were full of action for the guests. On behalf of our crew, we are thankful for World Surfaris team for sending us all these amazing people to share the line up with us.

With a promising S/SW groundswell definitely pointing towards a stronger pulse in the 6ft plus range, our boats are back in the Islands for more action. Bruno is planning a shot to The Hole to score some insane barrels with Star Koat full of World Surfaris guests."
