From Tuesday 18th September, World Surfaris very own Gary ‘Kong’ Elkerton will compete in the first World Masters event after a 7 year hiatus.
The Azores, Portugal marks the spot for an epic 6 days of competition that will see the likes of Sunny Garcia, Mark Occhilupo, Mark Richards, Wayne Bartholomew, Tom Curren, Layne Beachley, Shaun Tomson, Luke Egan, Pam Burridge and of course Gary Elkerton just to name a few, go toe-to-toe in a round robin heat format.
There will be 12 surfers competing in the 45 and over division, 9 in the 55 and over division and for the first time 6 female legends competing for glory.
