Tupira update# 3

4

Hi All,

We’ve been swamped lately, so a lot of things have been added to do the to do list. One of the ‘to do’s’ was the latest post from Tupira Surf Club – Madang. It came in last week – Tupira looks great. They’ve stepped up a whole heap of services and it’s better value than ever. Looking at the pics it looks like fun not epic, jarring pits but cruisey walls in aqua warm water.

I’d be stoked with that especially with the current run of swell on the east coast.

Enjoy WS:)

#3 Tupira Surf Club Update

Once again, Tupira has been pumping, between 2 and 4 foot waves have been coming through everyday. It has been fast and barrelling on the bigger days with some nice playful walls on the smaller days out front.

Over at Tavulte there have been some smaller but long workable lefts.

The fishing has been a little slow but that might be due to the visiting dolphins. That said fish is on the table everyday with Red Emperor being the most common.

It’s hard to say any more, the only real problem at the moment is editing all the great photographs and learning to get used to watching so many great waves go by unridden.

  1. Hi Pat,

There are waves to be had on a SUP at Tevulte, a nice spot around the corner, from tupira, it’s a long left and mostly sand bottom.
The other waves we have do end quite close to the rocks so a long board and long legrope could pose problems if you take on the end section.

    Hope this info can help.

  2. Will be there in 7 days, pumped!

  3. Pat Cummins says:

Hi guys, was wondering how the swell quality is around May. At 65 I am now on a SUP and out the front of Tupira Surf Club looks promising to me. I don’t need, and can no longer handle sucky pits and any thing more then overhead wasves.

Do you get many SUP riders up there?

    Cheers

    Pat
