Tupira on the up and up

surf-354

Hi all,

Tupira Surf Club is undergoing even more improvements. The Madang Surf camp has been improving its facilities and services since in joined the exclusive World Surfaris line up in 2009.  Tupia represents fantastic value and with the recent additions even more so. Resident, western manager Nicki Wynnychuk has filled us in with the latest and some pictures of all the work.

PS- We threw some pics of last years surf season in, just to convince you why this surf paradise is worth the effort.. All Surf photos by Japanese photographer ‘Char’. Tupira is an affordable ‘must-do’ summer destination for more info – click here

From Nicki

I have just come back from Tupira and have seen for myself, progress of the new accommodation Haus and I’m really excited to share the good news…

The building frame looks great, solid and well planned out but the finished building will not loose the typical PNG style that we all love, as it’s all locally sourced bush material including; a hardwood floor, bamboo walls and saksak roof.

We had a few speed bumps along the way but the timber milling is almost finished.

The Timber has been sourced from the bush, way out the back behind our long left and a number of different villages are working away (with more than half finished) on the roofing right now.

Our chief builder Isador is back on board, with his strong work ethic and skills I’m able to feel confident that it will be finished to a much improved standard.

The bathrooms will be much nicer and the rooms are almost twice the size so the forthcoming guests are sure to have a great new pad this season

Please see the attached images of the boys creation so far and some others that illustrate some of the blood sweat and tears the team are putting in to get this project looking great.

Thanks for all you help and support

Kind regards

Nicki
