The one You’ve Waited for

East Java Surf (32)

Hi All,

We’ve got a new product,  East Java Wave Palace, and in a nutshell its great.  So great its blog worthy….

When Surf travel first took off everywhere was a mystery. Pioneers took on huge risks in the pursuit of something fresh and different leaving the familiar to bunk down in strange huts, speaking unfamiliar sounds to primitive living peoples who’d never seen a foreigner. The pursuit of a perfect moment led them to strange places for long hauls some even fell so in love with these alien shores that they never came home.

Fast forward 30-40 years introduce mobile technology, Google maps, facebook, swell forecasts and a steady feed of information being fed to you daily from the comfort of your chair and the globe has never been smaller. Its so easily traversed, international travel is so effortlessly within reach that distant lands are bought closer each day. It’s nothing to go to a different country for a week, experience a whole different way of life take some happy snaps and then leave and slip complacently back into your old routine. We shrunk the globe using only fibre optics, jet fuel and hunks of metal. The bitter among might even suggest that Surf Adventure is dead, they’re wrong.

Surf adventure is still a reality it’s harder to find in modern times but never has it been more essential. The constant feed of information and accessibility to services like international travel has seen our one time fringe sport boom to one of the countries favourite past times. 1 in 5 of us now surf in Australia – That’s a lot and the collective noun for a lot of people in one place is a ‘Crowd’. Its time to escape the ‘Crowd’ it’s time to get the hell out of here.

What you need is in a Surf Adventure and it just so happens we’ve got that.

World Surfaris proudly introduce East Java wave Palace.

Rod Steele ex pat Aussie from Lennox head is sharing his dream with you. He’s built this amazing resort in the middle of nowhere on this enigmatic bay in East Java.

The Bay hosts a surfer’s dream set up, the east side of the bay dishes out a consistent albeit moody left and similarly the west side throws off a right hander barrelling hard along the reef. Both waves behave differently and the usual references are made of them. The right is like Back door Pipeline, the left at 2-4ft is playful over 4ft behaves like Bingin and over 8ft you’re grabbing your balls putting you’re head down and thinking of Teahupoo. Both are within paddling distance of the Resort. Don’t stress if you’re not feeling up to it just yet there’s numerous other breaks close by suited to a whole range of surfing abilities. You’re going to love your options and due to some dense jungle and out of the way palces there might even be an opportunity to surf a virgin break.

The Resort

East Java Wave Palace offers super comfortable, well appointed bungalows with private facilities. The Resort places an emphasis on Ecological Sustainability and the carbon footprint is minimised throughout the Resorts practices. The resort is undergoing constant improvements and early in the 2012 will see the completion of the new Infinity swimming pool which will be the ultimate place to chill in between surfs.  Rod has created a piece of paradise that you will not want to leave and you will vow to return to. Those already lucky enough to stay at Wave Palace have been blown away by this incredible location.

Imporant and Awesome Note:

East Java Wave palace offers an all inclusive trip and we mean all inclusive, the moment you step into the resort whatever you want is on the house. Beers, 2 Javanese massages and a lobster feast – All inclusive= Happy Surfers,  nice!
