Monday 4th to Sunday 10th January
Monday. High tide @ 10am. An early morning session saw plenty of fun waves in the right handers at Rusty’s. With overhead sets and glassy variable winds guys were getting tubed and laying some big turns.
Tuesday. High tide @ 11am. Today saw an amazing surf in the head high right handers at One Nut Point. The water was crystal clear blue, the wind was offshore, there were tubes and rippable walls everywhere! With some of the most spectacular scenery to possibly surf in, the fun rights were that much better!
Wednesday. High tide @ 12pm. Another fun surf today in solid waves at Resorts. Some well overhead sets with onshore winds made great conditions for laying down some big turns.
Thursday. High Tide @ 1pm. The trip to the north shore to spectacular bay of Tiavea today saw another fun session. The first hint of a solid new north swell was showing and a few barrels were starting to peak over head at The Rivermouth. The crew took turns sharing the empty waves of Samoa for hours in the perfect sunny skies!
Friday. High Tide @ 2pm. Today was the day! An epic session for the Sa’Moana crew at a rarely surfed north coast spot had everyone frothing! As we pulled up we could see right hand barrels exploding and spitting on the offshore reef. Double overhead sets, grinding floorless barrels, sunny skies and hours of light offshore winds made this a day to remember. All the guys got barrels today that they’ll never forget!
Saturday. High Tide @ 3pm. Another trip to Tiavea saw epic conditions as the wind swung straight offshore. The crew were into it in the perfect weather and pumping waves. While some chose to surf the swell magnet Main Peak others chose the fun rippable walls at The Rivermouth! It was an amazing afternoon in the pristine conditions! (see photos)
Sunday. High Tide @ 4pm. An afternoon boat trip was the plan for today, with light winds and sunny skies. The lures were out as they motored between breaks and he crew landed some solid fish! One Giant Trevalley gave a great fight while an esky-filling Dog Tooth Tuna ended up on the BBQ! After checking a couple spots they ended up finding great fun waves back at Special K. It was shoulder high with light winds up the face and great for throwing a few turns before a sunset cruise back to the mooring!

Monday 28th December till Sunday 3rd January
Monday. High tide @ 4pm. As they descended into the amazing bay at Tiavea, the crew were keen psyched to see the swell rolling in! The peeling overhead left and rights at The Rivermouth had everyone stoked! It was a great surf with barrels, turns and airs for the guys and girls in the bright sunshine and clear water.
Tuesday. High tide @ 5pm. With the wind swinging offshore there were some great waves for an arvo session at Resorts. The running overhead lefts and short punchy rights were a great combo with the crew surfing the crystal waters until dark!
Wednesday. High tide @ 6pm. With the crew totally into the festive spirit they had a great day chilling out around Sa’Moana pool, before another afternoon surf at Resorts! A light onshore made for some rippable lips to hit! Again, they surfed till dark before beers on the deck!
Thursday. High Tide @ 6:40pm. The call was an early surf at Resorts today, with some well overhead sets, there was definitely fun to be had with the clean conditions on offer!
Friday. High Tide @ 7:10am. As some of the last people on Earth to celebrate New Years Eve the Sa’Moana crew certainly did it well! A dead still starry night, beers and cocktails on the deck and a flotilla of flaming coconuts to welcome the new decade was an amazing experience! Happy new year everyone! Today was a day of recovery.
Saturday. High Tide @ 8am. An amazing trip today down to the Ocean Trenches had all the crew stoked! This place really is an amazing natural wonder and is a must do guided tour for anyone visiting the country! Underwater sea caves, coral gardens and cliff jumps make for an awesome day!
Sunday. High Tide @ 9am. With a new swell on the way, everyone was keen to save themselves for the following week with plenty of good waves predicted! A morning kayak tour explored untouched beaches, picturesque islands and spotted great fish life along the way!
