New Product – Vanimo Surf Lodge

Papua New Guinea is our northern neighbor lying a scant 2600km from Brisbane it’s mystery, people and surf has inspired surfers for well over a decade. The latest offering to come from PNG is no exception – we’d like to welcome Vanimo Surf Lodge to our range of Unique Surf Adventures.

Vanimo Surf Lodge is located in North West Papua New Guinea close to the Indo / PNG border and is within walking distance to Lido Village and faces Lido point a wrapping and playful right hander that is all but guaranteed to become your next favorite wave. A friendly and wakable right with long workable walls breaking over reef bottom Lido right is your home break for your stay. But there are dozens of other breaks to explore in proximity and with the guiding help from the friendly team at the lodge you’re going to be surfed out and stoked for the entire trip. However the big sell point of Vanimo Lodge is its association with SAPNG, so surf numbers in the area are limited to 20 & they’re spread out over the 8 known surf breaks – Uncrowded surf is more or less guaranteed.

The lodge consists of 3 large huts and can accommodate up to 10 surfers.  Vanimo Surf Lodge has availability from December so if you’re thinking of  a quick surf escape whilst the silly season is in full sway we’ve found the ‘X’ on your map otherwise from the end of Feb right through to April Vanimo has availability.

It’s the first season the lodge is in operation so be one of the first and we reckon you’ll be back year after year.
