Uncrowded Bali can happen, you just have to know the right people. Luckily we are the right people.
The below is an e-mail from Michael Hill, of our Bali World Surfaris office who is completely shameless in reminding us of the consistent conditions and lately the uncrowded perfection he’s been scoring (outside of office hours of course), the rest is an account of the Hotels we offer in our Bali range and a bit Michael’s Quality Control which includes not only the hotels we offer but also the surf (another shameless reminder). All in all though the surf looks epic and the accomodation on par.
Hi WS Austalia team…
11th March 2010 – Me (michael) and Putu managed to get for a surf this morning before work… we went East Coast Bali. We new the swell was still around so we tried our luck… and as you can see we got a few waves… Best thing was we were the only ones out… another 3 hr Private Board Meeting for us here at Bali World Surfaris…
10th March 2010 – Headed down to the Bukit area as had to do some site inspections to our selected range of hotels.. Firstly called into our best value property only 10 minutes walk to the water at Uluwatu BALI SANDAT there fan cooled rooms are cozy and now with there super pool and brand new restaurant things are pretty comfortable…. Then to Blue Point Uluwatu is looking real good for this year now with 3 pools for guests to enjoy as well as the quality surf out the front…I had to check the surf it was going off with head to double over head waves coming through and no wind…. But with no surfboard I continued on to Bingin to say gooday to Wayan at our bungalow style accommodation only 100metres from Bingin and also another Wayan at our surf camp things are currently pretty much European at the moment with most surfers down there French.. there was only around 8 people in the water… geez where was the surfboard…..once again had to hit the road and head to Balangan to our surf resort (lajoya) also ready for the season ahead now with a second pool for guests to cool off in (this property is great for small families and couples…) and a new addition to our preferred properties.. Flower Bud Wooden Bungalows with a nice new pool, caters for those that want to really get the feel of Bali. (These fan cooled 2 storey wooden Bungalows have upstairs and downstairs beds… some cater for 3 – 6 people…) Bungalow has an awesome view of the surf as per photo…..). It was around 38 degrees yesterday, I think I picked the worst day to leave the surfboard behind and the worst day for visiting hotels, especially as I the silly bugger was in a long sleeve shirt and jeans…aaaaaarrgghhhh oh well I’m going surfing tomorrow morning anyway…
but now I can ensure all World Surfaris customers coming to Bali that things are looking set for great waves and a super stay at one of our selected properties..…
P.S. Some great new products for those wanting great locations and your choice of comfort… Villa in Canggu, 2 bedroom bungalow in Seminyak, Surfcamp style in Uluwatu, Padang and also Balangan….
Get the hell out over here……

keep spirit about Bali ^_^
Takes a while for the crowd to pick up. Bali is a nice place.
Yeah I agree, just got back last friday 21/5, stayed on the east side, ND pumped for the whole 8 days we were there, yes I did surf the other side and Yes Ulu did deliver but uncrowded waves in Bali was better for all, treated ourselves to the NIKKO resort and spa really nice, had agreat driver and some awesome waves, will definately be hooking up with our contacts again for another soujourn 2011, my last surf in Bali was in 1977, yes 33 years ago, I was absolutely drop jawed with the consumerism that has taken place and yet still surprised at the perfection Bali still can deliver. bagus sekali
maybe this year…
