Hi all,
Richard and Amy Kotch have sent us out the latest Maldives Swell report. We tried writing a suitable introduction but found that we can’t compete with the pics and Rich’s little blurb.
Suffice to say - If you want ‘in’ this season you need to enquire now and get started. Spaces are limited Hudhuranfushi is just that good. – See more, click here for date availability -click here

The second most important item you can pack for your tropical surf trip, after all the essentials, is a mask and snorkel. To say it’s another world under the surface is an understatement. It’s also a great way to get to know the intricacies of a new wave. The most important item is, of course, a shorter, wider board that goes really good in the small stuff. If you had both over the last couple weeks you’d have been laughing. There has hardly been a cloud in the sky and the water has been crystal clear. We have had manta rays, dolphins and a whale shark just off the reef here at Hudhuran Fushi in the Maldives, not to mention day after day of perfect 3-4ft waves. It has been on of those swells that didn’t look like much on the charts and admittedly it never really got very big, but has stuck around for over a week giving us a consistent supply of fun waves. That’s the great thing about these S-SE swells – they just keep on pulsing and with the glassy conditions the lefts, as well as the rights, have been perfect.

Cheers Red Bob! It was great to meet you…see you next time! Keep on perfecting that ’soul arch’
Rich.
Hi Richard
I hope all is good for you and Emma and the season is going well.
It was a real pleasure meeting you both. I am sure we will meet again.
I just had to share this with you.
Celebrating the Queens 60 coronation party for us in Jersey means for Pat and I to visit a different bay take in a different view and catch an afternoon beer. Getting away from the usual crowd and chilling in the afternoon sunshine.
After sitting chatting for a few minutes a group of six guys turned up.
I vaguely new one the rest all strangers. The conversation was kite surfing and paddle boarding.
We were only just within ear shot but after a few minutes I heard the word “Maldives” followed shortly by the name Emma.
This was followed soon by a demonstration by one of the group showing a perfect Soul Arch.
Not sure at that point where he had seen the picture be would you believe it? He was talking about yours truly.
They split up an left a few minutes later.
What a hoot !! Such a small world and me now a man of fame if not fortune.
If only he new it had taken two days before I remembered how to stand on a board.
Both of us spent the afternoon grinning.
Keep having fun and never stop surfing or taking photographs you are brilliant at both.
