Sa’Moana, as you no doubt already know, cooks! Consistent blue water swell, long rides, great accommodation, friendly staff- What more could you ask for?
Monday 18th to Sunday 24th January
Monday- High tide @ 8:30am. An early morning surf at Resorts was a great way to start the day. Sa’Moana guests scored glassy head high and a half peaks, with plenty of nice turns put down by surfers of varying abilities
Tuesday. High tide @ 9:10am. Today a boat trip to Wakas was the call. All the crew had a ball in the shoulder high rippable left handers. The sun was shining and the water was crystal clear. After hours in the surf a great fish on the way home had the boys stoked.
Wednesday. High tide @ 10:00am. A dawny surf to a rarely surfed north coast break was a great call. The hollow spitting head and a half high rights and lefts provided great shade from the beaming sun as it rose over the milky clean horizon. Plenty of pits in the morning followed by an afternoon surf a short drive away into a sheltered bay made for a huge day of great waves!
Thursday. High Tide @ 11:00am. Another early morning rise for the boys as the swell was still cranking. The call was to a spectacular jungle lined bay (one of our favourites). Another day of grinding hollow barrels had everyone stoked. The Peak at head and a half high was great for those who were keen for some long heavy barrels while others enjoyed wedging runners at The River Mouth.
Friday. High Tide @ 12:00pm. Returning to the same area as yesterday the swell had dropped a little but was still a rippable head high and great fun in the warm sunny conditions. While the boys had great waves their partners enjoyed relaxing in the amazing scenery.
Saturday. High Tide @ 1:00pm. A great fun day of surfing peeling Resorts. There were lefts and rights very where on the rising south west swell, great for turns with good wackable sections.
Sunday. High Tide @ 2:00pm. More rippable waves out the front at resorts today followed by a few casual drinks on the deck was a great way to finish the week.
