The best known surf breaks Cloudbreak, Restaurants and Wilkes Passage are a mere sampling of what is out there .These waves pump as do numerous other surf locations in Fiji .
Lucky for you the only way to access the less known waves is by boat so you are very unlikely to see any one else at any of these breaks .We surf and charter an array of waves that like Cloudbreak are offshore in the predominant winter trades and continuous south swells. Then when the summer arrives and the trades disappear the swells keep pumping from the south as well as the North so the place is firing everywhere with very light winds. If you want a real surf mission, surfing in the seldom surfed outer islands of Fiji then Stellar is the perfect platform .
From perfect barrelling right handers to seriously scary perfect left handers Ian and Steele know where to find them having been surf searching here in Fiji for more than 10 years. Most of these waves are for experienced surfers but there is the odd mellow surf break amongst them that will satisfy the less experienced.
These tours are real adventures great surfing, sailing , fishing, snorkelling and cruising. If you want you can get to experience the local customs and meet the great local people doing sevu sevu ceremonies (partaking in Kava)or just cruising in the local villages you are always made very welcome Genuine friendship is the essence of the great lifestyle in Fiji .

Talon Clemov put together a short film capturing all the action onboard the stellar from a recent Stealth Travel Club Mission. The Vid features our very own Scardy alongside Laurie Towner, Shaun Cansdell and Dean Brady scoring some amazing waves.
Having chartered extensively around Fiji for the past 7 years on the 36 foot sailing boat Safari, the founder of Safari Charters Ian Thomson in 2006 formed a partnership with Steele Jones also a Kiwi and keen sailor. Steele a surfer and all round waterman has chosen Fiji as his home and now complements safari charters.
With Steele joining the company it was time to venture out and get a new yacht to accommodate a larger market, hence in July 2009 Ian and Steele embarked on an 8000 nautical mile passage to bring Stellar back from the Caribbean to her new home in Nadi waters of Fiji where she is now based.
The far more suited and spacious charter boat now provides plenty of room for the guests and the luxury of a faster and more comfortable sailing experience.

Stellar is a 2005 Sun Odyssey49 Fast Cruiser built by Jeanneau Yachts of France. Designed by Philip Briand well renowned for designing many of the supreme yachts sailing today. She is the perfect complement of performance, safety and comfort for her size. At 49 feet she has 4 separate double
cabins all with ensuites for your complete privacy. Uncluttered decks enable you to spend time onboard while cruising or anchored, or sit in the well sized cockpit with full open views. The saloon below provides comfortable seating for 6 around a generous sized central table ideal for dining if you choose not to dine under the stars.
Food and Wine
The crew onboard Stellar have always taken pride in guest service and love eating fresh food ourselves so that is the accent of the cuisine on board.
Sumptuous fresh garden salads, freshly caught fish cooked or sushimi, Thai and Italian Dishes, or a delicious barbeque the crew can cater for your individual tastes. There is always plenty to eat of the top quality food. Juices and bottled water are available at all times.
Why not a traditional Fijian Lovo (local foods cooked in an earth oven). This delicious cuisine is a must. Maybe partake in a little Kava (Yaqona) at the same time and have a small party with the locals.

Many of Fiji's famous surf breaks Cloud break, Restaurants and Namotu were difficult to gain access to because of former legislation that policed the rights to surf ceratin breaks. However on July 9th 2010 The Fijian Government instigated the Fijian Surfing Decree which abolished exclusivity and now Fiji is free to surf any break at any time. Fiji Safaris will put you into any break in Fiji but their extensve knowledge of the region ensures that you are very well placed. Surf remote Fiji and dozens of less documented waves that will reduce crowd factor and will get you surf stoked in remote paradise with just you and your mates.
Ian Thomson your skipper and Fiji surfing guide has been involved in the sport, industry and lifestyle of surfing for more than 30 years. His passion for surfing Fiji island waves and Fiji reef breaks still remains as strong as ever. The crew is convinced that Fiji island waves and reef breaks will more than satisfy any wave hungry surfer.
