The custom built ‘Mangalui Ndulu’ is an 82ft sloop- rigged semi traditional Pinisi. The Mangalui Ndulu has set the bench mark for many operators in the Sumatran region and features in scores of magazines, movies and docos. Built in 1995 from iron-wood and crewed by experts the ‘Mangalui Ndulu’ makes for a smooth ride and just getting to the surf becomes a real highlight of the trip.

Matt Cruden built and owns the Mangalui. Matt's had a tonne of experience operating in the region and was one of the early pioneers that answered the call to the Mentawais over a decade ago and has stuck it through. Since then he’s been cruising the waters on the "Mighty Mango' sourcing the greatest spots and bending all his will into developing an unforgettable surfing adventure.
