My name is Flávio Padaratz and I was at the Freedom III for a surf/music trip along with some friends that are surfers and musicians, where I was directing and recording a documentary about surf and music for TV in Brazil, and we wanted to use the Mentawaii’s as our back ground.
We brought all kinds of Surf boards, guitars and percussion, and had the whole time just for the fun of surfing all day and play all night.
A dream that actually came through.
We’ve had an absolutely wonderful time on your boat, as the crew was simply the best I’ve had on my other 4 trips to the islands.
Captain Lee was great, avoiding the crowd and selecting the right waves for the wind conditions, and delivered us the best hospitality possible.
Plus Chris made us some unforgettable dinners with his international menu.
I was also stoked to have such a dedicated crew with the locals, who were always ready for anything.
And last but not least, the boat is unreal for what we’ve needed, not only the comfort but it was perfect for my film.
I would like on behalf of the rest of the guys to thank you for letting us use your boat for this great Trip.

Insane Trip!
The waves were awesome. Lee and the crew really made everyone feel at home.
Highly Recommended for anyone considering a surf trip that is ‘Hard-core’. We checked out a few secret spots with not another boat in sight. On the one lay day we had we managed to snare a 35kg Giant trevally on the Spear. It made for a big bonfire on the beach with a few Bintangs.
I will be organising my next trip late this year.
