About Freedom 3 - Luxury charters

 Quite simply put, Freedom 3 is for those who want the very best in a surf charter vessel. Her "planing asymmetrical tunnel" hull shape is rapidly being recognised as the new industry standard in providing speed, comfort, safety and economy.

The sharp increase in use of catamarans by operators worldwide is clear testament to Freedom's long-held philosophy that contemporary catamarans are the future of surf charter exploration. Freedom 3's ultra-modern composite design is the epitome of the modern powercat.

Freedom 3 luxuriously accommodates up to 10 surfers in individual berths in four air-conditioned cabins. Saloon and deck spaces are divided into four main areas: the aft deck, the rear saloon, the day bar area and the main forward saloon.

The aft deck is a covered outdoor lounge area with seating for 10 guests around a large table. It's a great place to hang out during the day to watch the action from the shade and on breezy, balmy evenings it becomes the ideal outdoor dining patio.

As you step inside, you enter the aft-saloon area which includes the galley, another large table/seating area and a plasma TV hooked up to a DVD entertainment system. This is a good place to have your chef whip up a quick snack while you catch a movie between surfs.

Further forward and up a short flight of stairs you is the day bar area with wrap-around windows offering a good view of the surf. Kick back and have a cold drink as you check the waves and chat with your buddies.

Finally, another short flight of stairs takes you down to the main forward saloon/lounge area where you will find another large plasma TV and state-of-the-art surround-sound home theatre system. This will probably be your main after-surf lounging and socializing area and comes with all the comforts you'd expect from a luxury lounge room.

Freedom 3 is equipped with a brand new 16 .5 ft rigid bottom inflatable tender with a steering console and 60 hp engine.

Ever-popular captain Lee is your skipper and surf guide aboard Freedom 3. Lee has years of  experience taking people of all levels of surfing ability to the Mentawai Islands and North Sumatra.

Other than being an expert surfer and nice guy to boot, Lee speaks fluent Indonesian and is intimately in tune with local wind and swell conditions, guaranteeing you the best possible surf experience every time. 

So you dont forget all those epic waves, trophy fish, smiles and good times, for a reasonable fee Captain Lee can provide a photo service using his top-of-the-line Cannon EOS digital camera. Let him shoot those all time sessions from the dinghy in the channel then watch the slideshow that night while enjoying a few cold ones in one of the saloon areas. Lee can then process the photos for you at port or burn super-high resolution CDs of the entire trip that are ready to print when you get home. 

In addition to world class surfing, Freedom 3 comes with all the amenities expected from a high-end surf charter: snorkeling equipment, fishing gear, a trained western chef serving gourmet meals encompassing the best of both Western and Asian dishes, communication services including satellite telephone and the latest weather/surf reports etc.
