About Paus Charters - East Indo Adventure

Due to the ‘Paus’ yachts size this enables her to steam against the strong currents of East Indo unlike many other “Chicken Boats” which sail out of Bali. This gives you the advantage as you will be able to reach the less crowded reefs and surf in the best conditions.

You Skipper / surf guide Wayan Mantra has vast experience in the ocean, the Captain of many commercial ships all around the world has given him a wealth on knowledge at sea. East Indo is Wayan’s backyard and he knows this region and the conditions of the breaks better than most. Wayan is a keen surfer and water man and will be sure to deliver you to the best waves at the best times, assist you to land the biggest fish or snorkel the pristine reefs.

The ‘Paus’ East Indo Adventure has 6 or 9 night sailing with no set schedule.

Why not combine a stay at Nusa Lembongan Island either prior or after a sailing? Wayan’s family own the Morrin Inn situated on a cliff edge with direct view of the surf at Nusa Lembongan. From$275 * based on twin share per person for 3 meals daily, 2 small beers and 2 soft drinks daily, return transfers from Bali Hotel to harbour and fast boat transfer to/from Nusa Lembongan.

Sample itinerary:

Day one you will be picked up from your designated Bali hotel by our guide, transported to Sanur Beach where guests will board the fast boat to Nusa Lembongan, and met on arrival and transferred onto the ‘Paus’ were the adventure begins.  

You will be onboard the ‘Paus’ yacht for the next 6 nights and charter to Lombok and Sumbawa. Wayan your skipper / surf guide will chase the swell therefore itineraries vary depending on the surf conditions with how many nights spent in each location. If the swell drops off, the boat moves on. Each night the boat will move to into a tranquil anchorage to dock for the night and each morning the day begins with coffee and tea and breakfast available at dawn. ‘Paus” takes a maximum of 6 guests.

Surfing itinerary

1^st surf at desert point then head along the south coast of Lombok and surf the Kuta Lombok, Grupuk Bay and Ekas Bay region. Cross the strait to Sumbawa and surf the West Sumbawa breaks of Scar Reef, Super Sucks and Yo Yo’s. Back to South Lombok the Desert Point and call into Nusa Lembongan for a final surf before delivery back to Bali and transfers to airport or Bali hotel.
